The Harrington Institute of Interior Design invites all high school seniors to the second in a series of "Scholarship Competition Days" at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 at the Chicago Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Ave.
The day will include an overview of the interior design profession and a timed Career Programs Assessment Test (CPAT) covering english, math and reading. Applicants also will prepare an essay on the interior design profession at a later date. Pre-registration is required.
The Harrington Institute has long been recognized as one of the country's leading schools in interior design. It offers a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design, an associate degree in applied science and a diploma program.
The Harrington Institute will award the senior with the highest CPAT score and most creative essay with a $5,000 scholarship. Second, third and fourth place winners will receive $1,000 scholarships and the fifth through eighth place winners will receive $500 scholarships. All scholarships are for the Harrington Institute. An awards ceremony will be held Thursday, June 5 at Harrington to honor the scholarship winners.
The last "Scholarship Competition Days" will be held on Saturday, April 26.
