(Chicago, October 6, 2005) - - Harrington College of Design Student Arts Council presents "IMAGINE," an exhibition and silent auction of original art from the Harrington community on Thursday, November 10 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the 1820 N. Wells St. Gallery.
The event will feature works from Harrington students, faculty and alumni. All proceeds will be donated in equal amounts to the Photography Education Project, a not-for-profit organization that gives adults with developmental disabilities a creative outlet through photography, and the National Transplant Assistance Fund for Multiple Sclerosis in honor of Nancy Young, a family member of a Harrington student who is seeking an adult stem cell transplant treatment.
The evening also will include live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres and beverages.
"This is Harrington’s first art show that exhibits student, faculty and alumni work," says Damien Thompson, a Harrington digital photography student and co-chair of IMAGINE. "We are proud to demonstrate the talent that exists within the Harrington community, while raising funds for two great causes."
The event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 at the door. For more information, call Lisa DeBernardo 312-939-4975 x 1278.
The MAC Group is co-sponsor to the event.
