CHICAGO, March 8, 2005— Kathryn Moery, 53, of Chicago’s South Loop, recently joined the Harrington College of Design as the executive director of academic services. She is responsible for overseeing the registrar, student services and academic advising areas.
Prior to joining Harrington, Moery worked as the dean of academic services at DeVry University, Chicago campus.
Moery serves on the board of advisors for the Catholic Charities, Archdioceses of Chicago, and the Family Resource Center on Disabilities, Chicago. She earned a bachelor’s degree, as well as a master’s in education from the University of Illinois, Urbana. She also received a certificate of advance studies in human resource education from the University of Illinois, Urbana. Moery also has her master’s in business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
Located at 200 W. Madison St., Harrington is a four-year college that offers flexible scheduling for a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design, an associate of applied science degree in interior design or digital photography, a professional interior design diploma and a kitchen and bath certificate program.
Founded in Chicago in 1931, the school seeks to foster an environment that maximizes students’ intellectual and artistic potential. The majority of the faculty are practicing interior designers, architects and fine art professionals.
